Stephan Hansen and Tanja Jensen took two compound junior medals home for Denmark form the World Youth Championships, held earlier this year in Yankton, USA. Viktor Orosz of Ukraine and Fatimah Almashhadani of Iraq took the compound cadet titles, with Korea’s Min Byeongyeon taking recurve junior men’s gold, and Peng Chia-Mao taking recurve junior women’s gold for Chinese Taipei. Brazil’s Marcus D’Almeida won recurve cadet men’s gold, while Hyeong Yeajin took the equivalent title in women’s cadet recurve.
On the team front, Turkey took the junior men’s compound gold, with the USA picking up women’s junior compound and both men’s and women’s cadet compound gold. Colombia scooped the compound junior mixed team gold, while Mexico took the compound cadet honours. Korea took both recurve junior men’s and junior women’s recurve top spots, as well as both cadet recurve team titles, and the junior and cadet recurve mixed team golds.
