Central London gets specialised archery centre

A new archery club has opened in central London.

Archery Fit is a joint project set up by Roman and Kate, who noticed the lack of a dedicated indoor archery centre in London and decided to do something about it back at the beginning of 2014. They finally opened to the public in April 2015, and since them Roman reports that business has boomed. They’ve had archers in there every single day since April 26, with numbers only increasing.

The centre has two 18 metre ranges, one of which can extend to 30 metres, with space for 22 people to shoot simultaneously. As well as offering membership for already experienced archers, the team runs beginner courses, corporate events and parties, and taster sessions. The centre is fully-equipped, with a spectator area at the range, an outdoor terrace, lockers and changing rooms, as well as air conditioning and heating. There is space to store members’ bows, and as well as offering equipment for hire, there’s also the capability to adjust and repair equipment if necessary.

Located in zone 2 of the capital, they can be found a five-minute walk away from Greenwich DLR at Archery Fit, Hatfield House, Merryweather Place, London, SE10 8EW, and are open seven days a week.
