Four Olympic archers have lost their full-time funding following a near 20 per cent funding cut by UK Sports.
Archery GB has only been allocated £3.1 million for the four-year cycle to Rio 2016 compared to £4.4 million for London 2012.
Larry Godfrey, Naomi Folkard, Simon Terry and Alan Wills have all lost their podium athlete personal awards after a disappointing Games.
Performance Director Sara Symington said: “I would personally like to thank them for their support, efforts and all their achievements over the years.
“They all have ongoing opportunities to qualify for significant events, 2013 and 2015 World Championships, the 2014 European Championships and Rio 2016, through the annual selection shoot process.”
Archery GB has highlighted “pathway development” as its ongoing emphasis following the funding cuts made by UK Sports.
£2.6 million has been allocated to fund 13 archers while a further four archers will be identified to move up in the next 12 to 15 months.
The current list of funded athletes includes Glen Croft, 22, Sean Evans, 21, Becky Martin, 16, and Bryony Pitman, 15.
Sara continued: “In essence the Olympic programme will become a ‘development’ programme which will still look to qualify archers at the Rio Games, and medal in 2020. ”
The Paralympic programme will receive £1.5 million over four years, with Paralympians Danielle Brown, Mel Clarke and John Stubbs keeping their personal awards.
